Did you know that Mother’s Day isn’t just an American holiday? While Mother’s Day was first established in the U.S. in 1914 as an official holiday, mothers are celebrated and have their own holiday in over 40 different countries! This year Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 13th. Don’t wait until the last minute. While moms are often presented with bouquets of flowers and are taken out for a great meal, we also enjoy smaller things that we get to look at every day. Moms aren’t always able to put on those emerald bracelets and diamond pendants. Why? Because when you’re elbow deep in bread dough or taking care of a baby that likes to grab things; it’s just not smart to have those things on. This is just one of the reason why you see so many coffee mugs given to mom and dad as gifts. Let’s face facts, moms reach for that coffee pot or espresso machine a lot more than that little black dress. Make no mistake, no woman in their right mind is going to turn down jewelry, but we’re going to get to fill a mug at least 3 or 4 times a day.
